Leading iAdmit's degrees, certifications and corporate learning businesses.

Biography

About Meera Kulkarni

Meera Kulkarni is the Chief Executive Officer of iAdmit. She runs the operating business across three lines — online degrees, executive certifications and corporate learning — and is accountable for the institute relationships that sit under all three.

Her tenure has been defined by a shift from volume to completion. The internal measure she moved the organisation onto is not enrolments but the proportion of learners who finish and can point to something that changed at work. That reframing pulled programme management out of operations and gave it its own leadership, and it made drop-off a metric that counsellors are asked about rather than one buried in a quarterly report.

She brings two decades across education services, technology and go-to-market leadership. Much of that time was spent in businesses where the customer pays before they receive the value, which is precisely the structural problem in paid education, and it shaped her insistence that fee structures, waivers and instalment plans are put in writing before an enrolment is confirmed.

She leads the leadership team that took the company through its listing, and she chairs the internal academic review that decides which institute partnerships are renewed each year. Her stated test for a new partnership is simple: whether the institute will let its own resident faculty teach the cohort.

In their words

Enrolment is a transaction. Completion is the product. When we started reporting completion to ourselves the way we report revenue, half the arguments inside the company resolved themselves.
